" I Grew Up Where I Could See The Stars ...

... Drinking Sweet Tea From A Mason Jar. "

I grew up on a farm in the rural community of Minnedosa, Manitoba. Working on the farm taught me the meaning of hard work, and I learned small town values with working in the community. I also gained a love for animals of all shapes and sizes and enjoy drawing and painting them as often as I can.

I have always had a love for art & design. Graphic Design was something I have been interested in for a number of years, and so I finally decided to pursue my passion of the arts. I feel very lucky to have had the chance to study Graphic Design at Red River College, and explore this area of work more.

I enjoy baking whenever I can, and have now started my own baking blog, May I Add Maple Syrup, Mary Berry?" where I am attempting to bake all of Mary Berry's creations from her recipe book - Mary Berry's Baking Bible. You are welcome to have a read along with a cup of tea and follow my adventures! In my spare time I like writing letters and taking part in Postcrossing - an online project where you can send and receive postcards from people around the world. I love swimming in open water — such as Minnedosa Lake in the photo shown below. I also have an interest in travelling, and so I tend to combine my swimming adventures with new places I visit! My favourite swimming experience was swimming around Liberty Island in New York.

I will leave you with one of my favourite quotes, “Life is a journey, not a destination.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
